I have been sailing and working on Thistles since 1976 and in that time, have done pretty much everything with them but mold a glass hull. I opened my shop in the fall of 1983 but I spent the summer of 1983 working in Doug Laber’s shop at Great Midwest Yacht Company - working on wood parts and boat repairs. Those were good days that helped set the standard I try to work to today. I thank Doug for that experience.
